The Legacy of a Champ: How DK’s Fight Against Leukemia is Fueling Hope for Families Today

“He was our light, our joy, our champ.”

DK Clark was born on October 3, 2019 — a vibrant, curly-haired boy with a smile that could disarm any bad day. From the very beginning, he carried a spark. Whether he was snuggling with family or playing on his tablet, DK had a presence that brought calm, laughter, and life to every room.

At just two years old, DK was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia — a rare and aggressive blood cancer. What would break most adults barely slowed DK down. He fought with courage, went into remission, and completed six grueling months of treatment, all while holding onto his joy and playfulness. Even on the hardest days, he was running around, laughing, and making sure those around him felt his light. He was, and always will be, our “CHAMP.”

After being cancer-free for 12 months, the leukemia returned when DK was just four years old. Again, the battle resumed. Again, DK led with resilience. And while the outcome wasn’t what any of us wanted, DK’s impact lives on — and it’s just beginning.

From Pain to Purpose: Why We Exist

The DK Impact Foundation was born out of grief — but it stands on hope. After walking through the highs and lows of pediatric cancer, our mission became crystal clear: no family should face this battle alone.

Through financial support, emotional resources, and a strong community, we’re building a lifeline for families who are now walking the road DK once walked. This isn’t charity — this is solidarity. It’s about showing up for people the way we wished more could’ve shown up for us.

How We Help

We provide:

  • Financial relief for hospital stays, travel, and treatments

  • Emotional and spiritual support for parents and siblings

  • Community events to connect families and build a network of resilience

  • Legacy projects to honor children who, like DK, showed us the meaning of courage

How You Can Join the Fight

DK taught us that even the smallest person can make the biggest impact. You can continue that impact by:

  • Donating — Every dollar helps support a family in crisis.

  • Volunteering — Bring your time, skills, or heart to our community.

  • Sharing DK’s story — The more people who know, the more people we can help.

We’re not just remembering DK. We’re building something he would be proud of — something stronger than cancer.

Ready to help us carry the torch?
