The Story Behind DK Impact
DK Clark was born October 3rd, 2019. The most tenacious curly-haired little boy always had sweet and warm snuggles along with an absolute cheerful smile that was so contagious. He was sure to brighten the room.
Diagnosed at the age of two with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a rare and aggressive blood cancer, DK began treatment right away. He quickly reached remission and conquered his way through 6 months of required treatment.
Never displaying the hardships he was experiencing during the time of treatment, DK remained resilient and joyful, always running around and playing on his tablet. We called him our "CHAMP" and although this terrible disease was challenging, he was so determined in every moment and we kept our unwavering faith.
In times of normalcy, he found much enjoyment in learning, playing with his baby sister, and having fun with family. He went 12 months cancer-free before it returned at the age of four, requiring immediate treatment again, that he responded well to. With some parts of the journey being beyond control, in just one short month, DK gained his angel wings on November 12th, 2023, leaving a remarkable Impact that is certainly unforgettable.

“When our world flipped upside down, this organization met us with love, not pity. They understood our journey because they’ve lived it. The support we’ve received—emotionally and financially—has helped us breathe again. DK’s legacy is a lifeline for families like ours.
